Once you’ve applied to study a food science and nutrition degree course with us, you might (depending on the quality of your application) be invited to one of our ‘post-application visit days’.

Post-application visit days for food science and nutrition courses

Our post-application visit days give you the chance to learn more about studying food science and nutrition at Leeds.

You’ll be able to get all the important information you need to help you make your final choice.

What to expect at a visit day 

The format of our post-application visit days may vary, but the programme for a typical day might be:

10:00 - Arrival at the School of Food Science and Nutrition
10:15 - Welcome by the Head of the School of Food Science and Nutrition
10:30 - Presentation about our degree courses by a member of our team
11:30 - Students – Question and Answer session with our team. Parents – Question and Answer session with the Head of School and Employability Officer
12:00 - Lunch
13:00 - Tour of our Food Science and Nutrition facilities
13:30 - Presentation about Work Experience Placements/Year Abroad
14:45 - Campus tour and accommodation viewing

There are plenty of opportunities to ask questions of our team during the day. 

We aim to give you all the information you need to make your final decision on where to study.

Can parents come to a post-application visit day?

Parents (or guardians) are very welcome to attend the whole day and see what the city, the University and the School of Food Science and Nutrition have to offer.
