International students

Leeds is one of the UK’s top universities, world-famous for teaching and research, situated in the heart of a vibrant and multicultural city.

Leeds ranks 1st among participating Russell Group universities for international student satisfaction.

It is a truly international university with up to 5,000 international students arriving each year and our University Union (LUU) recently won an NUS award for Internationalised Students’ Union of the year. The awards recognise Unions that go the ‘extra mile in improving the lives of international students studying in the UK'.

We have been welcoming students for over a hundred years, which gives us a great understanding of the pressures you may face as an international student. As a result we have an extensive support network in place just for you including a dedicated International Student Office which provides support and advice throughout your time here, including advice about: managing your money, UK life, events and day trips.

From the moment you accept an offer through to when you graduate, you can benefit from our range of specialist services to make your time at Leeds enjoyable and worry-free.
